Dr. Rashad N. Ali has been known in the Boxing community as simply "Dr. Ali" for more than 25 years.  Dr. Ali has participated in amateur and professional boxing as a fight doctor, manager, and promoter. In 2005, Dr. Ali established Bareknuckle Promotions due to his intrigue with the 75 round brawl that occurred on Richburg Hill outside of Hattiesburg, Mississippi on July 8, 1889. This event is significant in American Boxing history.

Since 2012, Dr. Ali has owned a boxing facility in East Detroit Michigan in conjunction with the DeQuan Marion and, former middleweight champion, Jimmy Paul. The trio has offered boxing to a number of disenfranchised youth whose misdirected energies have been transformed into commendable positive efforts leading to upstanding citizens. Dr. Ali's desire is to offer that east Detroit model to other troubled inner city youth programs throughout the south.

Dr. Ali believes that boxing is as American as "apple pie". The vision for Dr. Ali's Bareknuckle  Promotions is to find and develop talent in the boxing community that will lead to great champions in the south, similar to champions that are found in football, basketball, and track, as well as, other sports.

Bareknuckle promotions since 2005 has worked to bring wholesome events and family entertainment to the fan base in the south. Today, with the expanding capabilities of the Internet and Social Media, Bareknuckle Promotions  and BKP Television intends to offer more wholesome programs in family entertainment, not only, to the southern region of the United States but also nationally as well as internationally.
